Green unripe walnuts are steeped for many months on end with lemon peel, cloves, vanilla, and cinnamon in sugar and alcohol. A dark inky liqueur that is spiced just right and is a wonderful after dinner digestif. Shamana Flora's Wild Nocino is made with wild arizona green walnuts, cinnamon, clove, vanilla and lemon peel, plus wild wax currant leaf, pinon needles, sweet clover & bay leaf, and infused for 5 months.
Walnuts are traditionally used as a warming digestive bitter, and to address gut infections.
Nocino is delicious on its own, straight from the glass, but also is wonderful in egg nog, coffee, cacao or drizzled on deserts like tiramisu, cheesecake, chocolate of any kind.
